Pay homage to your favorite characters by joining this year's fanart contest! Draw your favorite Anime, Manga, Games, Sentai, Comic, Jpop/Jrock characters in your most creative output. And this year, UP AME challenges you to create your own rendition of our official mascots, Annie Mae and Buru-buru, in our newest fanart category: UP AME Mascots.
Mechanics:
1. This year’s fanart contest will be divided into two categories:
- a. General Fanart and;
- b. UP AME Mascots Fanart.
- 2. All entries should be placed in a 9” x 11” sized paper.
- 3. Entries should be of any traditional medium. Digital or computerized art is not allowed.
- 4. Entries can be colored, black or white, gray scale or monotone.
5. Characters:
- a. For General Fanart Category, only Anime, Manga, Game, Sentai, Comic and Jpop/Jrock characters are allowed. Entries should not have original characters.
- b. For UP AME Mascots Fanart Category, characters should only be either or both of UP AME’s official mascots: Annie Mae or Buru-buru.
- 6. More than one character may be included in an entry.
7. Entries should be submitted in a long brown envelope, with a separate sheet of paper attached with the following details:
- a. Title of fanart
- b. Name of participant
- c. Name/s of character/s and the title of work where the character/s came from (for General Fanart Category)
- d. Contact number/s
- e. E-mail address
- 8. An envelope can contain more than one entry. However, participants must register all entries submitted; otherwise it will not be counted as a participating entry and will not be judged.
- 9. A participant can join both categories.
- 10. Participants should not have more than one (1) entry per category.
- 11. Participants will be given an entry number upon submission of artwork.
- 12. All entries will and registration paraphernalia should be submitted at the Information Booth in the event venue. Submissions will be accepted only until 3:00 pm.
- 13. Entries will be judged according to the following (criteria):

- 14. The winners will be ranked first, second and third. Only one entry can place in each rank for each category.
- 15. All participants are requested to be present during the event for the announcement of winners and claiming of prizes.
- 16. The artists have sole ownership to their work and will be credited upon any publishing of the artwork.

- 1. 2nd prize – Php 1,500 + goodie bag
- 2. 3rd prize – Php 1,000 + goodie bag
AME Mascots Fanart Category
- 1. 1st prize – Php 2,500 + goodie bag
- 2. 2nd prize – Php 2,000 + goodie bag
- 3. 3rd prize – Php 1,500 + goodie bag
