Want a chance to showcase your video editing skills? Got a great idea for a music video featuring your favorite characters and songs? Then go ahead and whip up your best for AME Track 10’s Anime Music Video (AMV) Making Contest!
All you have to do is create your best music videos and upload your entries or burn them on a blank CD/DVD to enter the contest. Come to AME Track 10 on November 6, 2010 to see your entry displayed for all to see, and get the chance to win the grand prize for the best music video!
Requirements for Eligibility:
- 1. AMVs must be original and made for AME Track 10. Videos submitted to other contests will not be accepted.
- 2. Contestants may submit more than one AMV.
- 3. AMVs must follow the content, format and submission guidelines prescribed below.
- 4. Entries must be received on or before October 31, 2010.
- 5. Participants must be present on the day of the fair (November 6, 2010).
- 6. UP AME members, probies and alumni are not allowed to enter the Anime Music Video Contest.
Content:
- 1. Footage must be entirely from one or more anime series.
- 2. AMVs must not contain major plot spoilers. If there are minor spoilers, a spoiler warning MUST be placed at the beginning of the video.
- 3. Videos with adult content will not be accepted. Adult content is inclusive of excessive swearing, graphic nudity, or depictions of sexual acts.
- 4. Song(s) used must be appropriate for the footages included in the video. Songs may be in English, Filipino, or Japanese.
Format:
- 1. AMVs must not be more than 6 minutes long, inclusive of credits and blank screens.
- 2. Video must have a 3-second blank screen at the beginning and end.
- 3. Video and audio must be of good quality.
- 4. Subtitles from the anime are not allowed. Subtitles for the song may be shown. Short dialogue in the video is allowed but must be limited to a maximum of thirty seconds. Dialogue may be from either the original Japanese or English-dubbed version.
- 5. Minimum resolution for the videos is 640x480; maximum is 1280x720. Minimum bit-rate for audio is 128 kbps. File size should not exceed 250 MB. Aspect ratio should be either 4:3 or 16:9.
- 6. Entry's credits should include the following:
VIDEO TITLE, FOOTAGE SOURCE(S), SONG TITLE(S), SONG ARTIST(S), a DISCLAIMER and a line indicating that THE VIDEO IS MADE FOR AME Track 10's ANIME MUSIC VIDEO CONTEST.
- 7. Entries may be in .ogm, .mkv, .avi, .mpg, or .mov format.
Submission:
- 1. Entries may be submitted personally or uploaded to Youtube.
- 2. Personal Submission: Burn your AMV onto a blank CD/DVD (inclusive of case) with a .txt file containing the following information:
- Video Title
- Footage Source(s)
- Song Title(s)
- Song Artist(s)
- Participant's Real Name
- Address
- Contact Number(s)
- E-mail Address
Submit your CD/DVD at the UP AME Tambayan located at Kubo #2, FC Tambayan Complex behind Bulwagang Rizal (beside Palma Hall), UP Diliman, Q.C.
- 3. Youtube Submission: After uploading the video to Youtube, send an e-mail to contests@up-ame.org with the following format:
- Subject Title: AME Track 10 AMV Contest Entry
- Body of E-mail:
- Video Title
- URL of Video
- Footage Source(s)
- Song Title(s)
- Song Artist(s)
- Participant's Real Name
- Address
- Contact Number(s)
Screening:
- 1. All entries will be screened at least once during the AME Track 10 Program. Should there be time constraints, entries may not be shown in full.
- 2. UP AME reserves the right to use any entry for display or promotional purposes. Submission to the AME Track 10 AMV Contest assumes that the creator has understood and agreed to this condition.
Judging:
- 1. A panel of judges selected by UP AME will assess the videos.
- 2. The judges’ decision will be final.
Additional Guidelines:
- UP AME has the right to disqualify any entry that will violate any of the rules mentioned.
