Registration will begin at 1:15 PM and end at 2:30 PM. The location of the registration booth will be announced on the day itself. The number of contestants is to be limited to 15 contestants.

Songs must be an anime song or of Japanese pop/rock genre. The registrants have two options:
- Picking songs from a list. UP AME Will provide a list of songs and the registrant can choose any song from the list, as long as no one else has already picked the same. UP AME will provide the BGM (karaoke version) and the lyrics of the song.
- Bringing their own songs with them. The contestant must provide both the lyrics (4 copies) and a CD with the karaoke version of their choice of song..

All karaoke contestants must be present in the stage area when their name is called. Failure to do so will result in disqualification.

Contestants are to sing the first 2 to 3 minutes of the song, or at least until the chorus. The judge(s) will decide whether or not the performance is going well. If the judge(s) do(es) not like the performance, the contestant will be "gonged" and cut off.

For contestants able to sing without being cut off, a winner will be chosen. They will be judged in terms of the folowing of this criteria:
- CORRECT LYRICS
- PROPER MELODY
- AUDIENCE IMPACT

Prizes will be given to anyone not "gonged" but an amount of Php 500 will be given to the ultimate winner.

UP AME members, probies and alumni are NOT ELIGIBLE for entry into the Cosplay Competition.

UP AME may tape or photograph contestants at its discretion. Entry into this contest constitutes an agreement by the entrants to allow UP AME to use their pictures for publicity purposes in the future.
