Fanart Contest

 

Guidelines
  1. The entry/entries should be placed in a 9” x 11” sized paper.
  2. Entries can be colored, black and white, gray scale or monotone and can be of any medium. However, digital art is not allowed.
  3. Only Anime, Manga, Game, Sentai, Comic, and Jpop/Jrock characters are allowed, no original characters.
  4. More than one character may be included in the artwork.
  5. Entries should be submitted in a long envelope; inclusive of a separate sheet of paper containing the following:
    1. name of participant,
    2. pseudonym,
    3. name/s of character/s and title of work the character/s came from, (indicate under which classification, i.e. anime, game)
    4. picture of original character that the fan art is based on
    5. address, contact nos. and e-mail address.
    6. An envelope can contain more than one entry. However, the participants must register all entries submitted within their envelope; otherwise it will not be counted as a participating entry and will not be judged.
  6. The entry should not contain any writing except of the artist’s pseudonym.
  7. After the entries have been submitted, they will be given an artwork entry number.
  8. The artworks will be screened according to artwork entry number.
  9. All entries and registration paraphernalia should be submitted in the UP AME tambayan at the FC Tambayan Complex behind the Faculty Center; or to any UP AME member starting November 9, 2006, and the last day of submission will be on November 27, 2006.
  10. Entries will be judged according to
    1. Character Portrayal - accuracy of the visual portrayal of character
    2. Originality - incorporation of the artist’s own idea/s and/or style without compromising the character
    3. Creativity - use of medium and technique
    4. Balance/Harmony.- use of color scheme, coordination of elements in the artwork, cleanliness and presentation
  11. The winners will be ranked first, second and third. And only one entry can place in each rank.
  12. Entries will be exhibited in the AME Matsuri on December 9, 2006. All participants are requested to be present during the event for the announcement of winners and the claiming of prizes
  13. All submitted entries become property of UP AME and may be scanned and used by the organization for any type of publicity in the future. Artists will be credited upon publishing of their work.
  14. UP AME members, alumni and probies are not eligible for entry into the fan art contest.

2nd - Php 2,000.00
3rd - Php 1,000.00
